  • Video URLs: Links to videos you submit for fact-checking
  • Usage Data: How you interact with our service, including videos analyzed and features used
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting and optimization
  • Technical Data: IP address and general location (country/region) for security and service improvement

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide fact-checking analysis of videos you submit
  • To maintain and improve our service
  • To communicate with you about your account
  • To process payments (handled securely by Stripe)

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase for database storage and Stripe for payment processing. We do not store your payment card details directly.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide our fact-checking functionality:

  • Supabase: Authentication and database storage
  • Stripe: Secure payment processing (we never store your payment card details)
  • OpenAI: AI-powered claim analysis (video transcripts are processed but not stored)
  • Deepgram: Audio transcription for videos without captions
  • Serper: Web search for fact verification (search queries only, no personal data)

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing data handling. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and fact-check history as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal purposes.

Temporary data such as video files used during processing are automatically deleted after analysis is complete.

6. Account Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:

When you delete your account, we permanently remove your email, video history, fact-check results, and any associated data. This action cannot be undone.

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request correction of your data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Export your data
  • Opt out of marketing communications

8. Children's Privacy

Vericlip is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
